Welcome to this section
Learning goal: drill each Reading and Writing play until it feels automatic.
Each play has its own set of eight original questions that start easy and get harder. Pick a play below to practice just that one set. Pick an answer, check it, and read why all four choices are right or wrong before moving on. One set is a perfect lesson day.
Play 1: Watch the trailer, not the whole movie
Main idea and main purpose questions. Read each passage at trailer speed, then answer. Reread the play on the plays page anytime.
Play 2: Prove it on screen
Evidence and inference questions. Before you commit, point to the exact line that proves your choice. If you cannot, it is not the answer.
Play 3: Shrink the sentence
Grammar questions with juicy removable middles. Cross out the extras, find the core, then check the choices.
Play 4: Read the traffic signals
Transition questions. Decide the relationship between the two ideas first, then look at the choices. Never the other way around.
Done with a set? Log any miss in your error log, and when you are ready for the full mix, this week's assessment is waiting.
